It is never lost on me how lucky I am to work with such wonderful people. Mulan Sessions were a blast! Check out the final product below.Continue reading
What a thrill to meet and sing for Don Hahn, the producer of Disney’s animated film “Beauty and the Beast”. Disney’s Epcot Center is opening a new attraction where the guests and sing along to a shortened version of the movie. I was hired for my “kid voice”, but also got to use my “mommy voice” and “dramatic teenager” voice. It was a super easy, fun session and was thrilled to be a part. (That height difference though! Ha!)
Got to sing on some special attractions for Disneyland Paris. We did both a Halloween song —”Are You Brave Enough” with lots of key changes and yummy crunchy chords— as well as recording several Christmas songs for a guest sing-a-long. My first gig back from the tour and it was awesome to have my best friend Baraka there with open arms!
I love getting to share in a “first” with my friends. Especially when they are as smart and talented as my buddy Alexander Lloyd Blake, AKA “Alex”. I love seeing my friends succeed! Looks like Blue Sky animation has another success on it’s hands. Some of the the vocal cues were pretty intense. Plus, it’s always fun to see my name, “Mo Do” in the lyrics… ha!
If these pictures are any indication, we are singing our hearts out over here and having the time of our lives. We’ve played a slew of amazing venues to incredible crowds and are loving every moment. We recently wrapped a show a Redrocks which I will never forget. This tour will come to a close soon and I am doing my best to savor every moment. Continue reading
For the Onward movie trailer, a Disney film released in 2020, the original vocal piece was recorded for one of my first films I ever sang on. So crazy to have this work cycle around 28 years later!
Sang on absolutely mesmerizing main title theme for the new Amazon series called “Carnival Row”. We also sang a few cues for the critically acclaimed series.
I am pinching myself right now!! The chance to sing for Sir Paul McCartney?!? Are you kidding me!? This HAS to be one of the biggest highlights of my career! I can get pretty excited about a session call but will keep my expectations low knowing that the artist won’t always be there. My heart began to race a little faster; however, when we were greeted at the door by a large security guard who checked our purses and requested no photos. He was here! He was actually going to be at the session! The recording studio was not a studio at all. It was held in a large cathedral in the heart of LA. The acoustics were fantastic. Sir Paul was a complete gentleman and even invited us back into their make-shift “booth” at the end to let us hear the final product. As we left, he made it a point to shake each of our hands and say thank you. Not only was he completely sweet and humble, but he even had his completed CD mailed out to our homes! We may not have been allowed to take pictures in the church, but that didn’t stop us from taking a group pic outside!
